The Entity Experience:

In-Studio Workshops + Residencies


The Entity Experience is a customizable, in-studio workshop/residency allowing students to work intimately and rigorously with Entity company members and directors in their home space. Host organizations choose from a diverse variety of classes, seminars, and additional offerings such as original choreography, repertory staging, one-on-one feedback + mentorship, Q&As, and company performances. Entity Contemporary Dance creates a communal, inclusive environment for movement research and artistic exploration, encouraging students to take risks and develop their unique voice and vision. Entity is excited to collaborate on a curriculum tailored to your program’s goals and mission.


Curriculum options:

  • Classes (including contemporary, jazz, improvisation, movement dynamics, strength & technique, grooves & isolations, composition, floorwork, jazz funk, lyrical, and more)

  • Seminars on various artist strategies and career-related topics

  • Original choreography by Entity company members

  • Entity Contemporary Dance repertory

  • Group and/or one-on-one mentorship 

  • Q&A sessions with the company

  • Feedback on existing group or solo choreography

  • Company performance (informal in-studio showing or fully produced in an outside venue) 


Host organizations are responsible for covering: 

  • Class, choreography, mentorship, feedback, and performance fees

  • Roundtrip airfare 

  • Accommodations (2 persons per hotel/Airbnb room)

  • Per diem

  • Venue rental fees for workshops & performances

  • Marketing fees *If your event is open to the public, Entity will cross-promote on our web platforms

  • Entity Contemporary Dance LLC agency fee (5% of total scope of work fees added on top)


After hosting 20+ intensives, residencies, and international workshops over the last decade, we believe our programs offer a unique, cross-genre training experience emphasizing strategies of success for pre-professional artists in a fun, supportive environment.
